Ingredients

  • 18-20 jumbo shrimp (about 1 ½ pounds), peeled and deveined
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup Honey Heat hot sauce
  • zest of a 1 lime
  • sea salt and pepper

Spicy Grilled Shrimp

Picture this: juicy, jumbo shrimp soaked in a mix of buttermilk, garlic, lime, and our Gladstone Honey Heat Hot Sauce. It’s that perfect combo of creamy, zesty, and spicy — the kind that makes you sneak a taste before it even hits the grill.

Once they’ve had time to marinate, thread those beauties onto skewers and toss them on a medium-high grill. Just a few minutes per side, and you’ll get that smoky char that makes every bite pop.

Directions:

  • In a large bowl mix together the buttermilk, garlic, Gladstone Honey Heat hot sauce, lime zest and salt and pepper. Add in the shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes or up to 1 hour.
  • Preheat your grill to medium high heat.
  • Remove the shrimp from the fridge and thread onto metal skewers.
  • Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • Remove from the grill and serve on a platter with lime wedges and extra hot sauce.
